Bittner Industries was established in 1955 to serve the widespread need by industry for corrosion-resistant and abrasion-resistant linings for tanks and pipe. Since that time, Bittner Industries’ growth has been steady and carefully planned insuring excellence in production and service.

In 1961 Bittner expanded their line of corrosion-resistant products to include Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics. The company now produces both categories of products in a 37,000 square-foot plant employing over 25 craftsmen.

Bittner keeps abreast of developments in its areas of expertise through active memberships in the Composite Fabricators Association and the American Society of Testing and Materials.

Bittner is situated in Mobile, Alabama, in the heart of the chemical and paper industry of the South. Mobile is also a crossroads of highways, seaports and railways, assuring you efficient delivery.

Can-Do-Craftsmenship and State-of-the art Facilities Provide Dependable Products

Bittner Industries realizes the importance of providing dependable tanks, pipes, ducts, stacks and accessories to their customers. To accomplish this, Bittner expanded their manufacturing facility and installed efficient equipment and staffed it with conscientious craftsmen to ensure consistent quality. Part of the facilities include:

· A ten-ton bridge crane that serves the main production areas and greatly facilitates the safe movement of heavy material.
· A rubber lining department that has an autoclave nine feet in diameter and thirty feet long.

A FRP manufacturing section that has filament winding equipment for pipes and tanks up to sixteen feet in diameter.

At Bittner Industries, quality control is the responsibility of everyone. Quality control reports, generated by a Quality Assurance Department are sent directly to top management for analysis... deficiencies are corrected on the spot.
