Abrasion Resistant FRP/RTP

A New Development to Resist Abrasive Slurries

Fly Ash, Bottom Ash and other abrasive slurries can  now be handled with reinforced thermoset plastic (RTP) piping and tanks through  the introduction of fine particles of Silicon Carbide into our standard  corrosion barrier.

The Silicon Carbide is incorporated in a corrosion barrier that is from 0.126 to 0.250 thick. This combines abrasion resistance  with the proven corrosion resistance of the Vinylester resin used.

This process was developed through extensive testing beginning in 1988 to solve the abrasion problems encountered in the Coal Fired Electric Generation Industry and is performing exceptionally well.

This product will solve abrasion problems existing in tanks and other applications as well as in pipe.
